Academics
The Department of Civil Engineering offers two majors, civil engineering and geological engineering and a minor in construction management.
Civil engineering
The civil engineering major offers a broad-based engineering curriculum with opportunities to take elective courses in structures, water resources, transportation, geomechanics, environmental, and construction management.
Geological engineering
Geological engineering students take courses in geology and geomechanics in addition to civil engineering courses. Majors can pursue a geomechanical or geoenvironmental track.
Final project
All civil and geological engineering students must complete CE 4102, Capstone Design as their final project before graduating.
